Associate Agent Opportunity

Build your own agency from day one.
Earn your way past the $100K capital requirement.

An up to 24-month opportunity for business professionals who want to own a Farmers® agency. You do not work for another agent. You write your own business, earn the commissions on it, and the policies you write become the foundation of your agency.

How it differs from the Protégé program.

Protégés are paid a base while they learn inside a mentor's agency, and the business they write stays with the mentor. Associate agents are independent from day one: no base salary, but the commissions are yours and the business you write is the start of your own agency.

New business and renewal commissions

Commissions are paid to you on your monthly production. No base salary, and the policies you write are the foundation of your own agency from day one.

Capital requirement waived or reduced

Hit the production goals and the standard capital requirement for a new agent can be cut to $50,000 or waived entirely.

Training and support

University of Farmers® training, plus support from the district and territory offices.

Full-time appointment opportunity

Upon successful completion of program requirements, with a path to the Retail and External Acquisition programs.

The goals

Hit these numbers, skip the capital.

Associate agents may be eligible to have the new agent capital requirement reduced or waived based on their last 12 months as an appointed Associate agent.
